Entry-Level Traditional Program

The entry-level traditional Radiologic Sciences degree program is for students who are seeking to become a registered radiologic technologist. This program is full-time and delivered in a traditional, face-to-face format. The program is 22 months in length. There is a strong clinical component to the curriculum in this program.

Program operating hours

The standard operating hours are from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. During the first two semesters (fall I and spring I), students will be in class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and in clinical assignments on Tuesday and Thursday. During the third semester (summer), students will be in clinical assignments four days per week and in class one day. During the final two semesters (fall II and spring II), students will be in class on Tuesday and Thursday, and in clinical assignments on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There are no evening, weekend, or holiday assignments.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Radiologic Sciences program in the School of Health Related Professions at UMMC is to provide an educational experience in a scholarly environment to help students reach their highest potential in technical knowledge and clinical competency in radiologic sciences.
